Although MBCI  began manufacturing basic metal building components such as roofing, siding and light gauge framing, it has grown far beyond what its name implies. Today, MBCI has 16 sales and manufacturing facilities selling and delivering a wide range of metal products direct to many facets of the contracting community. MBCI built “service after the sale” by initiating 3-day delivery for custom manufactured products, a service then, in 1976, unheard of except at local lumber yards.

Completely self-supporting, with in-house design capabilities for manufacturing equipment as well as product development, MBCI has maintained a leading position in the metal construction industry. In fact, MBCI operates the only independently owned UL approved test chamber.

Throughout the nation, MBCI manufactures preformed metal roofing, siding and light gauge framing for the commercial, industrial, architectural, residential and agricultural markets. The company manufactures most of what it sells and provides support for both the conventional and pre-engineered building construction industries. Vertical integration into the processing and coating segment of the industry has enabled MBCI to maintain quality painted material. MBCI has been uncompromising in its efforts to manufacture and deliver quality products. An example of this is its commitment to convert all base metals from galvanized coated steel to the superior Galvalume® coated steel products. MBCI had grown since this change to be the world’s largest consumer of Galvalume® coated steel products.

From concept to completion, MBCI dedicates its staff and facilities to quality products and service utilizing state-of-the-art roll forming equipment, which provides custom quality products without custom costs. Roofing and siding products consist of 84 distinct panel profiles in any combination of several gauges of steel or aluminum and three (3) paint finishes in smooth or embossed surface textures. Standard light gauge framing products consist of 39 different structural shapes in 22, 18, 16, 14, 13 and 12 gauge steel. All are available in galvanized and R/O primed hot roll steel. Thousands of trims, flashings and accessories are manufactured in gauges compatible with roofing, siding and framing.   MBCI offers a Certified Installer program for many of its panel systems and the strongest Weathertightness Warranty program in the industry.
