MBCI is the leading manufacturer of metal roof and wall systems for the architectural, agricultural, commercial, industrial, institutional and residential markets. From concept to completion, MBCI dedicates its staff and facilities to quality products and service utilizing technologically advanced equipment.
Founded by A.R. Ginn in July 1976, MBCI opened its first sales office and manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. MBCI began its business manufacturing basic metal building components such as roofing, siding and light-gauge secondary structural.
MBCI knew to be competitive we had to offer a quality product at a competitive price with better service than others. MBCI built “service after the sale” by initiating three-day delivery for custom manufactured products, a service that in 1976 was unheard for custom manufactured products.
In 1998, MBCI joined with Houston-Based NCI Group, Inc. MBCI operates under NCI’s Components division and under the direction of Wayne Dickinson, President and CEO.
Completely self-supporting, with in-house design capabilities for manufacturing equipment and product development, MBCI has maintained a leading position in the metal construction industry. MBCI expanded over the years, offering many new and innovative products along the way. Ultra-Dek® and Double-Lok®, two of MBCI’s standing seam roof panels, were new systems developed by MBCI to compete with existing SSR systems manufactured by other companies. NuWall® was created by MBCI to be used for retrofit or new construction. MBCI also made advancements with our SuperLok® panel, which is a vertical leg, double lock standing seam roof profile created to resist the high winds experienced in South Florida and the Gulf Coast areas.
Developing new panel profiles is not the only innovative quality of MBCI. MBCI worked with our roll former manufacturer to develop the first double-high roll formers and the instantly adjustable purlin manufacturing line we use today. MBCI was also the first in the industry to offer Single Source Weathertightness Warranties, which provide for day one responsibility by the manufacturer. These are but a few examples of MBCIs continuing effort to improve our product offering and the processes by which they are manufactured, as well as providing assurance to the end owner that our products will perform as intended.
