    This presentation discusses the use of IMPs in new and retrofit construction, explains how insulated metal panels improves building performance, compares IMPs to traditional wall and roof systems, analyzes the sustainability benefits of IMPs and how to specify an IMP system for a specific application.

    Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this course the student will have a general knowledge of:

    1. Review policies and codes surrounding IMPs, the construction industry and how IMPs can qualify for LEED and tax credits.
    2. Recognize the advantages of using IMPs to increase the energy efficiency of the building envelope.
    3. Investigate some examples of energy modeling with cost savings via the use of IMPs.
    4. Understand the impact relevant specifications for insulated metal panels can have on the end product.
